#studentsofcaryhigh . Today we spoke with Abdul Sarsour (12) about President Trump’s impeachment. . “It is split on party lines. Plain and simple. It’s a stain on the legacy [of President Trump] and will be studied for years to come. This being said, I do not believe he will get removed from office. Senate republicans are aiming to have him acquitted within the same week the articles are presented in the senate. Mitch McConnell has gone so far to say he “is not an unbiased juror,” further proving that Trump will be acquitted in the senate. The only possible way that something could happen in the senate, is if new witnesses are called to testify, specifically the whistleblower. Republicans have voiced opposition towards these measures. Overall, the impeachment is just a stain on the already stained legacy of Donald Trump.”
#studentsofcaryhigh . At the beginning of this school year Ms. Richard’s husband was diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing chemotherapy. Ms. Richards’ AP World History class has sent weekly photo updates to Ms. Richards while she has been out of school helping her husband recover. Ashley Logue (12) says, “Our small class has allowed us to have a close relationship with Ms. Richards. I started encouraging the class to take pictures together in order to show support for Ms. Richards in this difficult time.” .
